Luke
1:46-48

"And Mary said, My soul doth magnify the Lord.

And my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Saviour.

For he hath regarded the low estate of his hand maiden: for, behold, from henceforth all generations shall call me blessed."

2010 Music Ministry Schedule

2010 Performing Arts Schedule

June is here ~ a time when we remember just how cold we were in January and February. Or at least we try to!
This is also a time when we take time out for ourselves, for visiting family and friends (hopefully in cooler climes!), for vacations, renewal of spirit, and a re-creation of ourselves as God’s people. While traveling to wherever, I hope you will stop and take time to reflect on this great country of ours and give thanks for our ability to travel and to appreciate the beauty that God has given us.

Personally, I am hoping to take an old fashioned car-vacation this year and visit my daughter in Rochester, Minnesota. Last time I visited her was a year and a half ago between Christmas and New Years ~ NOT a good time for this desert rat to be in freezing, snowy Minnesota! This time I plan on checking to see if the mosquitoes are really as big as “they” say they are! In addition to visiting with her, I’m really looking forward to driving through all of God’s creation between here and there! Maybe I’ll check out “The World’s Largest . . .”, or whatever!

I want to thank our fabulous Youth Handbell Team for a great year of ringing! They are Nathaniel Gingrich, Nora Heilman , Joshua and Zach Lundquest, Christina Pappalardo and Tim Steinberg. Nora, Christina and Tim all graduate this year and I will sorely miss them next year! Nora, Christina and Tim, I hope you will stay in touch, and I wish you great success in all your endeavors.

Thanks also to our very dedicated Angel Choir! Sometimes we have had as many as seven singers, sometimes as few as three, but always we’ve had great fun singing, learning about music and ringing Choirchimes. We will resume in the fall. I hope you all have a wonderful summer full of fun, fellowship, family experiences, and music!

Summer Choir is now in full swing. Those of you who have said you would like to sing when people “return home”, now is the time! Actually, anyone who can sing on pitch, read music, loves to sing and loves to serve our Lord is welcome anytime. You are invited to join us on Thursday evenings at 7:00 pm. We have more fun than a “church group” probably should have!

Blessings to all, and have a great summer!

Director of Music Ministries
