| Country Western Service
Our Country Western Service at 5:00 pm on Sundays completes
it’s every week schedule at the end of June. The final
service will be followed by a potluck dinner.
During July, August and September, there will be a Country
Western Service only on the last Sunday of the month ~ with
a potluck dinner to follow.
Come as you are able and enjoy this hand-clapping, foot stomping,
high-spirited service.
Our deep gratitude goes to David & Carol Ballard, One
In the Spirit and the Housers for making this season the best
ever in enthusiasm and attendance. Thanks, too, to our wonderful
support staff of Roy Fuerherm, Frank Yoder, Ted & Laurie
Christy, Ron Trout, Lyle Aasheim, Joe & Jan Guerrero,
Myra Berry, John LaViolette, Hu & Wendy Rhymes and
all those who acted as greeters.
The weekly schedule will resume on October 3rd.

Meditative Prayer Hour
Begins Thursday, June 3rd
7:00 pm in the Koinonia Room
Come cool off, calm down, and find your center in God through
prayer and meditation. We will practice various kinds of prayer,
guided meditation and Lectio Divina. This weekly prayer practice
will continue throughout the summer and possibly into the
future. Join us anytime to leave your cares in the hands of
God.
Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by
the renewing of your minds, so that you may discern what is
the will of God--what is good and acceptable and perfect.
(Romans 12:2)

W.O.W. Corner
The W.O.W. Committee is working on several ideas for your
summer entertainment. The first is “Summer Sizzles at
GCUMC”. We will have a pool party in late June and July.
We are also thinking of a Wednesday night “Family Night”.
Watch your bulletin for more details. If you have any ideas,
feel free to contact Ron Walker.
As always, we can use volunteers to help us carry out our
ideas. Come join us and have a lot of fun!
