Luke
2:7-8

"And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn.

And there were in the same country shephers abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night."

About Heather
I was born in Jamestown North Dakota. I spent most of my life between North Dakota and Minnesota, except for the 2 years my family lived in Kentucky. I moved down to Arizona in September of 2004. I got sick of the snow. All of my family is back in Minnesota and they are very jealous of the warm weather. Since moving to Arizona, I have been working for Wells Fargo Bank. I am currently still working with Wells Fargo in their Fraud Department.
I am also attending ASU and working on my degree in religious studies. I plan on graduating in May of 2010 and either attending Claremont School of Theology in Claremont, California or Perkins School of Theology for my Master’s of Divinity. I am also currently working through the candidacy program to become ordained within the United Methodist Church. God has called me into Ordained Ministry as an Elder.

Since joining the church in February of 2006, I have been involved fully with the youth ministry program at our church. I have been leading youth group with Cecilia, Fred, and Beth. During the summer I have been coaching the Senior High volleyball team.
I look forward to the opportunity that I have as Youth Director. The youth that we have at our church are amazing kids that want to follow Jesus. I have seen them grow over the last 2 years and look forward to their continued growth. I know with your support and encouragement the lives of these youth will continue to be changed. Also, if during the months of August through May you see me running around a little crazy, it will be because of attending school, working at Wells Fargo, and working here at the church. Your prayers and encouragement are more than welcome.

Gold Canyon UMC Youth are active students from 7th through 12th grade. This group of dynamic young people offer fun and inspiring worship experiences for the entire congregation. Under the leadership of Cecilia O’Brien, Senior Pastor Fred and Beth Steinberg and Heather Rodenborg, the youth learn to apply Christian studies to daily life. Friendships, relationships between youth and their parents and siblings, and their relationships in the “real world” are positively impacted by their experiences in Sunday School, Fellowship, worship and mission.
